A warm welcome awaits you on our family run 150 acre dairy farm, offering peace and tranquillity to all who visit, Richard and Tracey Martin being the third generation of the Martin family at Locksbeam. Our dairy farm is currently in conversion to obtain Organic status. Why Organic? The farmhouse is situated between the ancient civil war town of Great Torrington and the picturesque village of Weare Giffard.

We adjoin Torrington Commons, offering many beautiful country walks and panoramic views of the River Torridge and valley from Rise Point.

Torrington Golf Club has its home on the Common and green fee discounts are available for our guests, all within a five minute walk.

Our accommodation is ideally situated for golfing, cycling, walking or touring holidays.


On arrival be greeted with freshly brewed Tea or Coffee and homemade biscuits.

Traditional Cream Teas (Devonshire Teas) are available on request. Our home made fresh bread is made the traditional way.
