A warm welcome awaits you on our family run 150 acre dairy farm, offering peace and tranquillity to all who visit, Richard and Tracey Martin being the third generation of the Martin family at Locksbeam.
The farmhouse is situated between the ancient civil war town of Great Torrington and the picturesque village of Weare Giffard.
We adjoin Torrington Commons, offering many beautiful country walks and panoramic views of the River Torridge and valley from Rise Point.
Torrington Golf Club has its home on the Common and green fee discounts are available for our guests, all within a five minute walk.
Our accommodation is ideally situated for golfing, cycling, walking or touring holidays.
On arrival be greeted with freshly brewed Tea or Coffee and homemade biscuits.
Traditional Cream Teas (Devonshire Teas) are available on request.
This wonderful 17th Century Farmhouse has been refurbished to offer our guests a high standard of accommodation, with all en suite bedrooms with full size bathroom suite and shower. Bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV and hair dryers are available. We also supply towels. Locksbeam Farm is a totally non-smoking establishment.
Bedrooms are double / twin and family rooms. All rooms have the same facilities.
Our comfortable lounge is for non smoking guests, with colour TV, full central heating throughout, and features an open fire for colder days.

We comply with the Devon Cycle Mark criteria for cycle friendly accommodation; this includes secure lock up for bikes, packed lunches by prior arrangement, drying facilities, cycle literature/maps and puncture repair kit etc.
The farm has a herd of 90 dairy cows which are born and breed on the farm some of these are pedigree.
We grow our own forage crops of grass and forge maize for feeding to the animals during the winter months.
Great Torrington town square and the newly refurbished Pannier Market, as featured in the drama series "Down to Earth" on BBC One, is only 1½ miles away. Home to Dartington Crystal and RHS Gardens Rosemoor, and the newly opened 1646 Civil War Centre. Tarka Country is on our doorstep, Weare Giffard being the birth place of Tarka the Otter and offering access to the Tarka Cycle Trail; bikes are available to hire locally.
We are centrally placed for visiting Devon and Cornwall, all of which has plenty to offer the visitor for 'places to visit' and 'things to do'. Westward Ho! Instow, Clovelly, Bucks Mills offering safe beaches are no more than a short car journey away. Dartmoor and Exmoor are also within easy reach.
